Paulo Silva

Paulo Silva brings diverse finance experience to Accion’s CFO role. Most recently, he served as Finance Manager at UNICEF’s New York headquarters office where he drove financial governance, reporting, analysis, and innovative initiatives across the organization’s complex and expansive global operations. Previously, Paulo was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs with responsibility over financial operations and strategic initiatives of the Currencies Sales and Trading desk. His leadership helped identify growth opportunities and cement the bank as a leader in regulatory reform. Paulo also served as Controller of the Goldman Sachs Trust Company within the firm’s investment management division. Through his former management consulting business, Paulo provided CFO and financial modeling services to a wide range of companies. He helped clients develop and optimize financial frameworks, scale operations, and implement new systems. Paulo has also previously managed hedge fund operations and accounting, and has experience in venture capital deal sourcing and due diligence. He began his professional career as an auditor at KPMG covering financial services clients in New York. Paulo previously served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. Paulo holds post-graduate degrees from Harvard University and Iona University, and an undergraduate degree from Iona University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New York.
