Martin Tirigo is a seasoned digital transformation leader with over 15 years of experience driving innovation in the banking, telecoms, and financial services sector across Africa. His expertise spans a wide range of industries, including telecoms, manufacturing, retail, and fintech.

With a proven track record of success, Martin has spearheaded digital initiatives for major financial institutions, transforming them into customer-centric, high-performing organizations. Notably, he has been instrumental in empowering smallholder farmers through digital solutions, leading impactful pilots across Uganda, Malawi, and beyond.

Currently serving as the Director, Digital Transformation at Accion, Martin is responsible for architecting and executing strategies that propel the organization’s growth across Africa and the Middle East. Prior to this, he held leadership positions within banking groups, including heading departments and serving at various executive roles in a banking group.

A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital, business and technology, Martin is passionate about leveraging digital solutions to drive financial inclusion and economic development.

Martin holds a master’s degree in Business Administration, a bachelor’s degree in Computing Science, and multiple industry certifications.
