Akhil Gupta serves as Investment Officer, South Asia, at Accion Venture Lab. 

Akhil brings close to two decades of work experience as an engineer, entrepreneur, and impact investor. He started his career with Samsung research and development, working across India, South Korea, and the U.S. in their 3G mobile division. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded multiple tech-ventures in advertising, SaaS, and cleantech. More recently, as a Program Manager at Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, he led the jobs and livelihood portfolio in India, to further their mission of eliminating urban poverty through education and family economic stability.

Akhil has a master’s degree in management from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He is based in Delhi, India.
