Accion Venture Lab, Accion’s seed-stage impact investment initiative, invests in fintech companies that bring financial services at scale to underserved populations. Amee Parbhoo, Managing Partner of Accion Venture Lab, shared her insights about impact investing during Web Summit 2021: “The pandemic has highlighted the importance of the work we all do in impact investing, but particularly in financial services. We’ve seen in our work the 3 billion people who are underserved by financial markets are struggling to rebuild their small businesses and their lives. But at the same time, they’re also able to access digital tools in a way like never before.”
